2006.....Wire - After Midnight, the only punk record
you'll ever need...........Hans-a-plast: my favorite
band of the year, 25 years dead...............sevens

Horseshit, Black Lips, Pink Reason, Cococoma,
LiveFastDie, Cheveu, Final Solutions, Home
Blitz..........and, thus, a selection of some of my
favorite tracks/cuts/SONGS: "Honda"....."Stupid

Katrina"..............whatever the songs on the flip
side of Psych Horseshit are called......."Throw It
Away"...........................lost weekends w/
Cheveu, Black Lips, King Khan and
BBQ..........................seeing a thousand amazing
bands and a few score of new friends at
SXSW...............two straight thru days of acid at
SXSW, culminating in sets by Cheater Slicks and Th'
Faith Healers (DMBQ almost destroying the patio/pagoda
at Aunt Bea's or whatever)................moving to
Brooklyn after 6 and a half good but plenty years in
the Cleave...................playing in a band that
could be considered "alright"........Seige
reissue.......Human Eye live @ Glasslands while me and
Kemp Boyd dug it mightily on mushies.........also
shrooms, Comets on Fire at some warehouse, playing
through a power outtage like they were the fucking MC5
or something...................Lightning Bolt holding
their own and maybe even kicking the Boredoms ass, no
small feat....................buying lots of records
again after a mild few years.......LiveFastDie just
totally ruling........more sweet new bands: Terrible
Twos, Hunchback, Wooden Shjips................French
infestation: Cheveu and Gay Puppy poking their heads
this way and that.......late discovery of
Vinyl-on-Demand label (thanx Prof)............Don
Pedro's: best showspace in New York
City................hanging out with Ned
Hayden................fucking 30 story condos blocking
glorious NY view...............oh yeah, awesome trip
last year to Chicago/Milwaukee, thanks everyone for
rocking like fuck and showing
hospitality............whiskey.............Devil's
dandruff..........women.................mota...............2007..........................life
goes on: label, head on shoulders, to hell with
poverty, evil glance at night, more noise.........
