MITCH CARDWELL'S BEST OF 2005
Our man Mitch had a big year in 2005. He was spotted at fests and White Castles across the country, and those lucky enough to get an eyeful of him might have gotten even luckier and received a smooch or two. Yes, he kicked off the whole KBD craze, and by KBD we mean Kissed By Dudes. After reviewing hundreds of photos, we decided these were his ten finest moments.
NUMBER TEN:
The ultimate dude kisser laying one on the ultimate ballz smoker.
NUMBER NINE:
A prelude to a kiss. Imagine it: you're having a somewhat inebriated conversation with Mitch, as he leans in closer to "hear you better"...well, you know what happens next.
NUMBER EIGHT:
Apparently this one of the contractual obligations involved when releasing a record on Raw Deluxe.
NUMBER SEVEN:
Young Steve, once so innocent, here corrupted by the tower of sin that is Bitch Deluxe.
NUMBER SIX:
Fink could not be more unenthused to be receiving a tongue lashing from our boy. Fifi looks like an extra from a Japanese zombie film.
NUMBER FIVE:
This one was early in the year, when Mitch was still finding his groove. It has the most mainstream potential and could rocket him to further stardom and notoriety in a Sum 41 CD booklet or something. Guest appearance by Mikey Mind as the second kisser.
NUMBER FOUR:
A sentimental favorite, as we all know the manlove between Mitch and Icki runs deep.
NUMBER THREE:
This one is especially notable, as two ex-Lids turn the tables on Mr. Cardwell. But it's his "Aw Shucks!" look that lends this pic so much charm.
NUMBER TWO:
I especially enjoy this one, as Mitch basically palms Jeff's skull while laying what I imagine to be a really sloppy one his cheek. I believe Mitch's eyes are closed as well.
NUMBER ONE:
The incident that may have started the craze, featuring Mitch as kissee instead of kisser, and witnessed by numerous staff members. Notice Mitch feign indignance. Available in wallet and 8x10.
Next year: KBD Vol. 2. Look out America!
